SLN | Unfolding Dialogue
ABOUT PROJECTGALLERYDRAWINGS

I am Shulin (SLN)—an architectural designer, visual storyteller, and observer of the unseen.

Architecture, photography, and drawing are my ways of unfolding dialogues—between people and spaces, history and the present, the built and the natural. Through my work, I seek to reveal forgotten narratives, reframe the familiar, and create immersive experiences that invite new ways of seeing and engaging with the world.

Designing Narratives Across Time and Place

Architecture is a continuous dialogue between landscapes, urban fabrics, and cultural identities, shaped by the interplay of geography, history, and societal transformations. Each built environment carries its own narratives—some rooted in tradition, others emerging through change—responding to the passage of time and the nuances of place.

I see design as a way to engage with these shifting contexts—not just reflecting them, but actively shaping the discourse between heritage and modernity, permanence and adaptability, memory and innovation. Whether reimagining industrial remnants, redefining public spaces, or speculating on future possibilities, my work explores how architecture can bridge historical narratives with evolving needs, creating spaces that transcend boundaries and resonate across different scales and eras.

Seeing Beyond the Frame

Beyond architecture, I express my ideas through photography and drawings—capturing fleeting moments, framing emotions, and translating ideas into tangible forms. These mediums allow me to explore the poetics of space and time, giving voice to the subtleties often overlooked in the built environment.

A Continuous Exploration

I am constantly learning, questioning, and refining—seeking the intersections where disciplines blur and creativity thrives. Whether through a physical structure, a captured image, or a hand-drawn line, I strive to create dialogues that unfold—revealing layers of meaning and inviting new perspectives.

My work is an ongoing exploration—each project, image, and drawing contributing to a broader conversation. I invite you to explore my Projects, Gallery, and Drawings to see how these ideas take shape.
